Please ensure that this is completed in full in order that your application can be reviewed. We're looking for an established finance leader to join us as the Group Financial Controller . Reporting into the Finance Director, you'll oversee the production of the company's management accounting and management information, ensuring compliance with financial policies. You'll be a key player in our Finance function, owning the further development of management information, month end reporting cycles and helping further improve the financial systems, controls and processes. If you're a seasoned finance professional who is excited by the sound of working for a high-growth international business, then we want to hear from you What you'll be responsible for: Lead on the development of management information at both group and entity level Oversee month-end close down for all group entities, defining of reliable month-end accounts across the Group Helping define the monthly accounting procedures for all group entities, maintaining appropriate oversight of month-end close process, review of cut-off and period-end adjustments to facilitate timely Prepare monthly management accounts packs, including commentary and analysis Ownership of the year-end close down, taking the accounts to final trial balance and assisting in the preparation of a year-end file of evidence and key information for the Statutory Auditors Development of the existing group-wide finance team, ensuring training attendance to maintain professional competence Development of systems, control, and processes Review Group liquidity and ensure intra-Group accounts are reconciled Define and implement policies to manage foreign currency exposure Working with the FD to fully integrate recent acquisitions, as well as to develop the process to allow seamless future acquisitions Support the FD on a range of key activities and projects, deputising for the FD in their absence/as required in key meetings Taking the lead on continual systems and process development across the function Act as business partner to a range of key stakeholders What you'll need to have: Demonstrable financial management experience, preferably in a PLC setting Qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA accountant Working experience of International Financial Reporting Standards Treasury management experience Proven ability to develop systems, processes, and controls (experience of IFS would be a distinct advantage) Prior experience working in a high-growth and changing business Strong and effective leader with excellent communication, organisational and team leadership skills, able to plan and deliver high quality output against deadlines Solid technical accounting skills with attention to detail, able to easily identify data anomalies. Strong IT skills, including Excel Proactive driver of positive change, uses initiative to drive forward projects, anticipate issues and develop common sense, practical solutions Capable of operating at pace whilst displaying credibility and gravitas with senior stakeholders; able to work with multiple stakeholders and prioritise workload appropriately Why Microlise?
