Product Manager

Product Manager We are currently looking for an experienced and ambitious Product Manager to join our Vibration Test Systems business unit and shape our product strategy for short, medium and long term growth. Our new Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing our product strategy through road-map development that will capture true Voice of the Customer, future market needs and then integrate across Technical Development, Operations and Lean Ways of Working along with influencing our Sales Strategy. This role is hands-on customer facing and is best suited for someone comfortable in environment of continuous transformation and equally adept in engaging all levels of our organization from engineers through to C-Level. You will join our dedicated team, where the majority are based in Royston, Hertfordshire, UK, however the role can be based anywhere, globally, as such flexibility to travel is a core part of the role. Primary responsibilities Your daily, weekly & monthly work will include:
• Develop & Implement a Customer Value centric Product Offering
• Identify & execute through Operations teams Partnering Opportunities which add customer driven value
• Develop & Justify development opportunities by pinpointing market requirements, including trends and future growth opportunities, thus constantly evolving our Product Road-Map
• Act as a focal point for all sales & marketing activities across our Vibration Test Systems Product Range
• Develop & maintain external communication collateral, sales and pricing strategies
• Deliver seminar and conference material, and support exhibition & promotional activities including planning for & managing product launches
• Constantly drive improved operating profit across our product range
• Project Manage a series of high profile growth programmes
• Own & be accountable for our Product lifecycle management processes
• Comfortable in developing and improving our Product KPI's, setting ambitious plans which continues to challenge current state
• Prepare and support the generation of support material such as datasheet, manuals, release material, product videos etc.
• Prepare and introduce product increments to engineering
• Define appropriate new technologies, products, enhancements, and solutions
• Keep up to date with company wide best practices and product road-maps and constantly seek opportunities to embed Vibration Test Systems as part of our overall company growth plans Professional qualifications
• Bachelor or master's degree in engineering or comparable through proven experience
• In addition having a strategic background either through MBA or Executive Education
• Significant experience with bringing Product Strategies to life
• Agile Project Management qualifications or equivalent
• Pragmatic experience of using Networking & Communication techniques
• Significant experience with mechanical (75%) and software (25%) test & measurement products
• Dynamic & Structured Problem Solving ability
• Thorough understanding of test and measurement for Research & Development (across industries such as Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Consumer Goods & Educational)
• A background in vibration analysis testing preferable but not essential
• Capable to articulate our "customer journey" into all aspects of our value chain Personal skills
