About The Role NIGHT SUPPORT WORKER - CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE - THE OLD VICARAGE Nr. Lincoln LN6 We are recruiting for Night Support Workers to join our well-established night care teams at our Children and Young People Residential Care Home, The Old Vicarage in the village of Swinderby, just outside of Lincoln LN6. Working from 19:30pm to 07:30am on a fixed two week rota. Week1(M,T,F,S,S) Week2(W,Th). About the position: As a Night Support Worker, you will be key in helping and caring young people with complex needs. Our approach. • Working with all levels of the Staff Team to safeguard our young people at all time.
• Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
• Assisting with practical matters relating to care (cooking, cleaning etc.).
• Creating positive relationships with the young people and offering them unconditional dignity and respect.
• Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young people.
• Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
• Ensuring that the needs of the young person are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
• Actively contributing to the development of the team. Workforce development. About The Candidate What experience and qualifications do you need:
• A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
• A strong team player.
• Resilience to keep going at difficult times and to ask for support if needed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• A Diploma Level 3 in Young People's Workforce (or equivalent) OR a willingness to complete this qualification within a fixed timeframe. Becoming a support worker. Please note : If successful you will be required to attend a two-week training course (paid) 09:00 - 17:00 Mon-Fri prior to starting in service What will you get in return:
