You'll certainly feel proud when you see what you can achieve here. As our Divisional Transport Controller you'll ensure our transport operation operates efficiently, cost effectively and legally. You'll be essential in keeping our supply chain on the road and delivering the best for our customers You'll oversee audits of daily tasks, ensuring compliance with all relevant FTA, DVSA and 'O' licence requirements and ensuring compliance with all relevant Company Policies. You'll be responsible for the maintenance of the fleet in your division, ensuring our Customer Service Centres and drivers are 'O' licence compliant and that tachograph legislation is followed and ensuring that all legislation is being adhered to in respect of EU driving hours and the Drivers Working Time Directive. As part of this role your responsibilities will include:
• Being accountable for transport operations performance across the Division, including all policies, regulations and best practice methods are adhered to as well as cost performance against targets and the overall performance of our fleet, including Vehicle Off Road, downtime, and vehicle hire requirements.
• Communicating effectively with our sites, site managers and colleagues using the appropriate behaviours and tools available. You'll provide regular and timely feedback to site management and engage stakeholders to improve performance.
• Supporting and guiding colleagues, stakeholders and site managers to meet and exceed targets, using your knowledge to help improve our business. You'll need:
• To be a CPC holder
• Excellent understanding of Transport Legislation and experience in a distribution environment
• To be commercially aware, with a proven ability to identify opportunities, influence change and lead on behaviours
