About The Role BANK SUPPORT WORKER - CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE - THE OLD VICARAGE We are recruiting for qualified Bank Support Workers to join our day and night staff teams at The Old Vicarage, Swinderby, near Lincoln LN6. Day shifts 07:30-20:30 / Night shifts 19:30-07:30 About the position: As a Bank Support Worker, you will be key in supporting young people with complex needs. Our approach. What will you be doing: Becoming a support worker
• Working with the staff team across all levels to safeguard our young people at all times.
• Participating in a wide range of innovative and exciting recreational events held within the home and wider community.
• Assisting with practical tasks relating to care. For example, cooking and cleaning.
• Creating positive relationships with the young people, maintaining dignity and respect at all times.
• Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural and cultural needs of the young adults.
• Continually maintaining accurate and clear record keeping.
• Ensuring that the needs of the young people are being met and regularly reviewing and recording any changes to their needs.
• Actively contributing to the development of the team. About The Candidate What experience and qualifications do you need: Level 3 Qualification - Children's Residential Care or equivalent. A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others. A strong team player. Resilient and confidence to ask for support as needed. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Please note that it is compulsory to attend our two week induction training if successful, which runs Mon-Fri from 9-5 approx, prior to starting on shift within the role.
