You may be new to care or already have experience in the sector as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Giver. We also recruit for attitude and personality so, if you don't have all the right skills, we can provide a full induction, relevant training and the support you need to get the most from your role. Position: Support Worker Salary: £9.00 - £9.30 per hour Service: Perrywood House, Kettering Perrywood House is located on one of the main roads into Kettering, Northamptonshire and is a specialist residential service supporting adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). Individuals living at Perrywood are very much involved in the running of the home, from tending to the gardens to choosing the furnishings and decor. They also plan and host numerous garden parties, barbeques and cultural evenings where family and friends are warmly welcomed. The dedicated team encourage individuals to be active in their local community, whether it be meeting friends for coffee, paid or voluntary employment, joining local societies or attending the local disco. The focus is on providing opportunity, choice and helping people try new things. The service has its own transport and good local transport links to facilitate this. You'll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out. Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shopping and domestic duties. Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend and night shifts.
