Are you looking for your next Facilities Maintenance position? If you have experience as a skilled or time served trades person, ideally with knowledge of large buildings or apartment style living, we would like to speak to you. Our Facilities Management Assistant will provide a dedicated maintenance service across our Lark Hill Village location based in Nottingham, NG11 8BF. Lark Hill Retirement Village a whole range of communal social and leisure facilities in the village centre which is open to residents, their families and members of the wider local community. These facilities include Café Bar, Craft Room, Enriched Opportunities Suite (to support residents with dementia), Fitness Suite with Gym, Spa Pool and Steam Room, Freeman's Quiet Lounge, Greenhouse, IT Suite, Guest Suite, Hairdressing and Beauty Salon, Landscaped Gardens, Laundry, Library, Reception, Relaxation Room, Restaurant, Shop, Village Hall, Well-being Suite and Well-being Bathroom, Winter Garden with Indoor Bowling Green, Woodwork Room and communal parking. Hours: 20 hours per week Salary: £11,869 per annum, pro rata of FTE £22,255 Location: Lark Hill Retirement Village What will you do as our Facilities Management Assistant? Undertake preventive maintenance duties in the resident's apartments and in the communal areas Be proactive in the management of void properties, ensure water quality checks and general repairs are undertaken. Work with contractors on site to improve own knowledge of systems and to ensure that they are working to risk assessments provided. Record repair requests and defects. Attend site on a rota basis in the event of an emergency situation outside of your normal working hours Carry out a handy-person service for the residents, anything from picture hanging to assembling flat pack furniture. Person Specification: Ideally a facilities background in a multi dwelling building. Flexible to support the village during emergency situations and outside of normal working hours as required on a rota To take responsibility for the repairs and maintenance service with your team onsite Have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel to maintain a system for logging maintenance requests Be reliable, punctual and able to work unsupervised Able to demonstrate strong communication skills including empathy Excellent attention to detail Committed to health and safety.
