Commercial Manager - Norwich Persimmon Homes Anglia has a vacancy for a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS to become the Commercial Manager and join their successful and growing team. This role will be based in the regional office in Norwich with projects across East Anglia. Who are we? As the Commercial Manager you will be an integral part of the Regional Management Team and Commercial department, managing the team, overseeing external sub contracting companies and involved in the project management and administration of all commercial matters for various volume residential projects. You will be reporting to the Managing Director. They will support you and develop you in the way Persimmon operate and give you clear objectives. You will need to be adaptable and strong in your management approach with a consistent approach to managing external consultants. If this sounds appealing to you we will require: That you have a Quantity Surveying background preferably with a degree or HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant building related subject. It is preferable that you will be working in a Commercial Management role for a national house-builder and have sufficient exposure to large volume housing projects, although we will consider experienced Surveyors who are looking for that step up. You will have proven management and people skills, getting the most out of the team, as well as closely managing subcontractors and protecting the interests of the region and business.
