Prospero Teaching is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to work 1:1 with a boy in Key Stage 2 in a primary school in Bury, Greater Manchester. In-depth knowledge of supporting children with additional needs within the mainstream classroom is required. Experience supporting individuals with SEN is essential, and applicants must be Team Teach qualified. The position is to support a child in Key Stage 2 who requires full-time 1:1 support for emotional, behavioural and communication needs. The school is looking for someone who can be resilient and independent in managing the child, and pro-active in finding different ways to build a good working relationship with the child. He needs support to apply himself to academic activities, and requires prompts and interventions to help him with regulating his behaviour, with general communication and with following instructions. The school has high expectations for the children, and staff ensure that every child receives the provision they need to reach their potential. The role is to start as soon as possible, and will resume in the new academic year in September 2021.
