Are you an Electrical Panel Test Engineer who likes a technical challenge, a wide variety of work delivering at a high standard, a great team to work with and interesting, complex projects for key clients? This newly created skilled Electrical Panel Test Engineer role has arisen through organic growth and now, with further investment and exciting expansion plans, you will be part of an established, cohesive team testing a range of LV custom-built distribution boards and control panels for use in an expanding range of industries e.g. marine, agricultural, renewable energy, construction, food processing and more. What you will be doing as the Electrical Panel Test Engineer :
• Conduct comprehensive testing on high quality low voltage switchgear, distribution boards and control panels following final assembly
• Working to quality and build parameters, you'll record results accurately from the panels builders installation of copper busbars, complex panel wiring layouts, motor control centres and bespoke panels, ensuring specifications have been accurately followed
• Fault-finding to component level, identify root cause and non-conformances then work closely with quality and production teams to enhance and improve work quality as appropriate
• Acceptance testing with customers present, all completed on time, showing product continuity and quality is exceptional
• Be part of a skilled and flexible team who support each other and work to achieve a high quality product Electrical Panel Test Engineer skills and qualities
• Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical Design Engineering or Engineering Technician, or an equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or relevant experience
• Good working knowledge of analogue and digital circuitry and power supply experience
• Work collaboratively with technical support engineers and project managers to create and develop test & evaluation plans and procedures
• Great problem solving skills with a very logical, analytical mind demonstrating high attention to detail
• Team player with great communication skills to work closely with colleagues and customers
• Organised and practical, coordinate resources and meet deadlines
