Are you looking to kickstart your career in Safer Highways? Via currently has fantastic opportunity to join our Data & Information Team as a Data & Information Apprentice based at our Trent Bridge House office. As a Data & Information Apprentice you will carry out and support the processing and analysis of road traffic collision data to enable effective targeting of Via's casualty reduction activities and partnership working across Nottinghamshire. As a Data and Information Apprentice, you will gain first-rate training and mentoring along with workplace experience and the formal qualifications to back it up Throughout the training period you will gain your Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship through one of our carefully selected partner training providers. What's more, all of our apprentices are recruited on to a permanent contract from day one, so once you're finished training, you'll transition to a role within our Safer Highways Team. About the role: Within your role you will process incoming accident cards submitted by the Police accurately on to the road collision database and control the quality of the information by liaising with individual officers. You will assist in validating road collision data as a further control measure to ensure the integrity of the road collision database. You'll also learn how to analyse data and support the teams data analysis activities, producing visual representations of the key findings. You'll also be communicating with Via colleagues, Nottinghamshire County Councils staff and the Customer Service Centre and providing excellent customer service as part of your day to day role. Candidate requirements: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who has an interest in data analysis and public safety to join our Safer Highways Team. We're looking for: A minimum of 3 GCSE's at grade C/4 or equivalent including Maths. Someone who is good with numbers and has a high attention to detail and likes working with spreadsheets. Good interpersonal and communication skills and can work well as a team or and support colleagues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high standard or written English, spelling and grammar would be essential for the role.
