As our Assistant General Manager, you will work alongside the General Manager, providing continuous support whist assisting them in organising and efficiently running the daily operations within the warehouse across the various departments. Responsibilities of an Assistant General Manager: Maintaining a safe working environment at all times Having day to day responsibility for all direct costs in Operations as part of the daily P&L Leading and people managing the Operations team Managing planning and production processes, machine, and people utilisation in accordance with company standards and values Developing, implementing, and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures for all operations within the remit of the role Monitoring continuously and reporting regularly the performance of the Operations function to set KPI's Achieving operational excellence in all areas of responsibility Delivering best in class service to our customers Maximising the potential of the operation through a strong commercial & financial focus Identifying and resolving operational issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives Anticipating and reacting to changes in customer's businesses in conjunction with the General Manager Steering and facilitating the personal development of individuals within the team Driving the site activity to achieve its operating profit targets Standing in for the General Manager in their absence Being involved in planning the day-to-day short tern demands allowing the GM time to focus on the future demands Driving the Account Management & Ops Managers relationship to be benefit of the customer What do we need from you as our Assistant General Manager?
