Many of our projects involve complex logistical challenges interfacing with multiple stakeholders and coordination with third parties. An opportunity has arisen for a Planner to work out of our Midlands location. Working within nmcn's Infrastructure Business Unit, and forming a part of the planning team, the Planner plays an integral part in the tender process and the delivery of multiple projects. The Planner will develop, maintain and performance manage programme schedules through identification of emerging trends and critical path analysis. Core responsibilities encompass project delivery, continual improvement, monitoring and adherence to business unit and industry best practices. What you'll be doing day to day Production of tender stage programmes, phasing plans and written text relating to construction sequencing, methodology and resource Production of Cl31, Cl32 and Cl62 programmes (or equivalent) in line with NEC contract requirements, utilising Primavera, MS Project and Powerproject, aligned to standardised Work Breakdown Structure Review outputs to ensure programmes are submitted in line with contractual requirements Participate in the delivery of Collaborative Planning sessions and risk reduction meetings Production of tender stage programmes, phasing plans and written text relating to construction sequencing, methodology and resource Production of Cl31, Cl32 and Cl62 programmes (or equivalent) in line with NEC contract requirements, utilising Primavera, MS Project and Powerproject, aligned to standardised Work Breakdown Structure Review outputs to ensure programmes are submitted in line with contractual requirements Participate in the delivery of Collaborative Planning sessions and risk reduction meetings Undertake programme analysis for minor changes and input into production of written reports with recommendations Review programme implications of change with the commercial team to understand and capture any delay entitlement Meet with the commercial team to allow detailed cost to complete models to be built and monitored Provide the Planning Manager with appropriate information to inform business decision making Ensure scheme compliance with contractual requirements, following the risk management process, implementing and monitoring control measures as required Lead by example, set the highest possible standards in promotion of best practice, ensuring compliance with company procedure, policy and legal obligations Review overall project status with the Project Manager and recommend corrective action where necessary Ensure adherence with planning and commercial strategies to recover entitlements on delays to the contract programme Proactively input into continual improvement across planning and wider project delivery T he experience we're looking for in a candidate Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning software including, Asta Powerproject, Primavera, MS Project Strong Problem solving Strong communication including writing reports and presenting Industrious recognisable qualification Good understanding of highways engineering principles The personal attributes we are looking for in a candidate Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture Trustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where required Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels Commitment to the provision of excellent customer service Experience in a fast paced, national and multi-site business Self-starter who has the ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines What we can offer you Competitive Salary 5% pension contribution 25 days holiday bank holidays Holiday trading scheme Perks at work scheme (discount from high street retailers) Private Medical Insurance Free eye test vouchers Employee share scheme 3 x salary Life assurance Free Parking Flexible Working As a Disability Confident Leader and Investor in Diversity, we are committed to recruiting the best people to deliver our projects.
