Health Safety And Environment Advisor

This is an excellent opportunity for a Regional HSE Senior Advisor to implement & monitor business processes & systems to ensure safe and healthy working environments for our people. We are looking for a Senior HSE Advisor that is looking to take the next step in their career with previous Health and Safety experience ideally within a Construction or Engineering Industry or similar, someone experienced with health and safety, excellent people management and communication skills as well as a passion for delivering HSE initiatives. This is a regional role and therefore requires travel within the Midlands region covering Birmingham, Wellingborough, Leicester, Nottingham and Norwich. Responsibilities include: - Be an ambassador for health, safety and sustainability to both internal and external stakeholders Ensure compliance for company health, safety and environmental standards and local regulations Contribute to maintaining company HSE accreditations Strive for HSE best practice and continuous improvement in all operating standards Day to day HSE support for the region within area of responsibility Ensure the region maintains effective incident management and business continuity in line with company requirements Support region in accident, incident, near miss and non-conformance management including investigation, identification of causation factors and remedial actions where required. As well as communication of lessons learned Collate operational metrics and produce HSE performance reports for the region feeding into the UK main reporting requirements Ensure compliance with company standards through structured audit, inspection and monitoring regimes Propose practicable HSE improvement plans Liaise with customer and employees to effectively resolve customer complaints. Contribute to the implementation of company cultural improvement programmes. About you: - NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent essential NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ in Health, Safety and Risk Management desirable Demonstrable experience in health & safety management Experience in Environmental Management desirable Previous experience in delivering training sessions/toolbox talks Engineering/construction/hire industry background desirable Full UK Driving Licence essential.
