Site Engineer

Looking to join a main contractor with a route to progress to Section Engineer? Our client have recently won a £20m highways scheme in Hertfordshire and are looking for a switched on and up and coming Site Engineer to join their team. This person will be mentored to progress to Section Engineer level by the end of the project. The type of person this role would suit would be a Site Engineer with a few years experience working for a contractor who undertake self delivery on projects consisting of highways, drainage, earthworks and structures. Main Duties of the Site Engineer: Sets out the works in accordance with drawings, specifications and site surveys Checks materials and works in progress for compliance with the specified requirements Inputs into specific elements of the Inspection and Test Plans, and ensures that our supply chain provide test data to back up the contract technical requirements Quality control and record keeping in accordance with procedural method statements, quality plans and inspection and test plans which have been prepared by the project management team and by subcontractors Ability to QA. check packages, i.e. drainage Liaises with company or project purchasing department to ensure that purchase orders adequately define the specified requirements Supervises and mentors junior or trainee engineers Qualifications: Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering CSCS SMSTS 1st Aid Cat & Genny Experience: Highways Drainage Structures Road Realignment Kerbing Utilities / Services Earthworks Roundabout Reconfiguration Junction Improvement If the above sounds like the progression you'd want, then please apply now.
