Technical Business Development Consultant - Defence Sector A Technical Consultancy with continued growth into the Defence sector, seeks an individual with a technical background and the ability to sell engineering expertise and technical solutions (as opposed to an existing product portfolio). Ideally with Business Development experience for R&D in a defence systems environment (but not essential), you must be a self-starter, capable of discussing technical subjects and having lots of drive. Specialists in electronics systems, designing and implementing novel technical solutions, the thriving Consultancy seeks a Business Development Consultant to assist in their growth areas of bespoke communication systems, sensor systems and resilient positioning, navigation and timing. Qualified to Degree level in a Technical subject and with some direct experience of product or system development, the successful Consultant will seek out and qualify new business leads through networking at industry events and tradeshows as well as existing contacts; following up opportunities by developing proposals and closing sales. You'll keep abreast of issues affecting the defence market, whilst bringing excellent customer management skills and a flexible approach to work.
