Change the World. About the role As a Proposals & Contracts (P&C) Specialist, you'll focus on managing our contract, pricing and proposals processes. This is an extremely varied role which will see you working with a broad range of stakeholders across the business to ensure our contracts, pricing & budgetary processes are executed to the highest standard. You will also work closely with our Solutions Consultants & Business Development teams to support proposal development. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous contracts & pricing experience within the Life Sciences industry to take the next step in their career. This is a remote working position, so we can consider candidates based anywhere within the UK. Job Responsibilities Budgets & Pricing
• Drafting budgets to reflect both Company and client needs, including first-run strategic output, ensuring accuracy, consistency and competitiveness
• Facilitating pricing discussions with appropriately identified key decision makers, ensuring appropriate and accurate mapping to client budget specifications
• Providing quality client deliverables to strict deadlines
• Contracts Management
• Managing the contract process including coordinating Operations, Project Management, Legal, Business Development and Finance to prepare, review, and negotiate contracts.
• Creating, negotiating and finalising contractual documents, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders and Change in Scopes.
• Serving as primary client contact during the negotiation phase.
• On-going proactive involvement with project management in review of project status, including review of contractual status to ensure compliance with contractual terms and milestones and identification of Change in Scopes in contracts.
• Ensuring information relating to contractual documents are processed into and maintained in relevant databases.
• Proposal Development
• Working closely with Solutions Consultants and Business Development to research previous client experience to support proposal development.
• Participating directly in discussions with clients to discuss timelines, questions, expectations, deliverables, etc.
• Leading, facilitating and adding value to strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, identifying key strategy team members, recommending proposal and study conduct strategy and internal resourcing, leading senior management and multi-disciplinary discussions to assure appropriate input and establishing agreement on timelines and deliverables from the strategy meeting, following-up to ensure adherence.
• Writing and creating client specific proposal text to accurately reflect strategy discussions, meeting Company and client needs/expectations and assuring accuracy and appropriateness of text and attachments.
• Participating in client calls related to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), budget discussions, Requests for Information (RFI), etc.
• Participating in proposal defense meetings with clients. Essential Skills and Experience
• A minimum of 2 years' professional experience in contracts or pricing development.
• Previous experience within and/or solid understanding of the Life Sciences industry.
• Confident and professional presence with individuals at all organizational levels both internal and external
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
• Detail-oriented with solid organization skills
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Databases)
