Utilities Surveyor - Midlands, North West or Yorkshire

You will work across numerous sectors, including water, defence and nuclear as part of our Geospatial team within the Management & Surveying Business Unit of Tetra Tech UK. We deliver a combination of single and multi-disciplinary projects for our clients. This role offers a wide variety of projects to undertake due to the varying project locations, technical requirements and sectors. We are very flexible with regards to a base location for this role. The role will require excellent communication skills in both a project team and client facing environment. We are looking for a keen, progressive, versatile individual who can adopt a flexible approach to their role to provide support to all teams across the office as workload dictates. An individual who is willing to go the extra mile to ensure work is delivered correctly and accurately and on time which may include working outside of normal office hours. Candidates must ideally be able to prove that are fully competent in utility mapping techniques, including electromagnetic detection and ground penetrating radar. They must also be comfortable with the standard outputs of utility surveying. You will have a strong health and safety culture with experience of operating safe systems of work, be ambitious, enthusiastic and have good communication skills. Our team is based across the UK working on a variety of projects, therefore flexibility, overnights stays plus weekend and night work may be required. About You Must have: Ability to undertake utility surveys in various environments with a working knowledge of PAS 128 M1-M4(P) methodologies. Conversant with RD8000 (or similar) EML and Ground Penetrating Radar Knowledge of modern data capture techniques such as Total Stations and GNSS. Experience using AutoCAD, including data processing, interpretation and presentation of survey results. Full driving licence Suitability for security clearance Desirable Experience in post-processing GPR software Topographic surveying experience QCF Utility Mapping Level 3 and Level 5 qualification in Utility Mapping and Surveying.
