Tech Team Lead Experian Way, Nottingham NG2 1EP Full-time Department: Product Development Role Type: Hybrid Employee Status: Regular Schedule: Full Time Job Description We are looking for an enthusiastic team leader to work within our talented delivery team. Our Platform: The Marketplaces Platform helps people find, understand, and apply for the right financial product. Across Loans, Credit Cards, Auto and Mortgages we work with lenders large and small to help match the right person to the right product and lender. For product discoverability, we collate thousands of updates and product facts to power comparison journeys and for product eligibility we have extensive decisioning capabilities to provide the "pre-approved" mark. All our features are built on a robust platform of permissions management, data integrity and support capabilities to ease development and provide a consistent experience. Our Tech: We're a .NET house for our backend services with our UIs predominately in vue. We're using .Net Core in all new services and are always keen to evaluate new features to see if we can take advantage of them. We use a wide variety of testing and quality techniques and our services are pushed through our environments using a combination of GitHub for source control and Jenkins for build and release. You and your team: As a member of our agile (kanban) platform team you will be responsible for providing the core services that power the applications and solutions our integrators rely on. You'll have a passion for building and shipping high-performance, robust, and efficient AWS based services that you can be proud of. Your team are accountable for the success of our SOA capabilities such as address lookup and email notifications that are consumed by the services and apps around them. You work extensively with the teams around you to ensure the capabilities are fit for purpose and growing as needed to support their needs. As a team lead, you will also play a large role in the continual development of our people, teams, and tech. You will line manage 2/3 developers and QAs and play a key role in supporting them in their development, working with other Team Leads in improving practices across the platform and liaising with stakeholders and customers as we continually learn from and improve our capabilities. Your tech skills: Strong .NET Core/Framework experience Entity Framework & Databases (SQL Server/SQL Azure) Passion for continually pushing and improving how we build/test/prove our services Experience working in SOA or microservices architecture Competent in SQL, JavaScript, OO design patterns, concurrency concepts. Significant industry experience working on large, sophisticated web applications. Your people skills: Ability to establish strong, trust-based relationships Take ownership of your domain, whilst empowering & delegating to your team Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical people Good with feedback, continually looking to improve and develop Willing to push your team to achieve and succeed Additional Information Why choose us?
