We have a new, exciting, opportunity for a senior purchasing professional to have complete ownership of direct spend for all our hardware supplies. As our new Procurement Manager , you will commercially manage the related supply base/sub-contractors, both in the UK and offshore, whilst taking a proactive lead with the supplier selection process against all NPI activities and existing products. Then we want to hear from you What you'll be doing Ownership and management for the complete direct spend Strategically driven to manage all categorised spend by commodities Proactively drive our product roadmap with identifying the desired supply base to support our product life cycles To identify short, medium and long-term strategic levers to drive down costs and obtain best commercial terms Work collaboratively with the rest of the Procurement team to drive value from the supply base Able to present at all levels with recommendations/ suggestions and have the ability to execute the agreed business strategies Responsible for departmental processes and procedures and ongoing data maintenance What we're looking for Previous experience in a similar role/environment, ideally within the electronics industry Demonstrable outsourcing experience, in both the UK and offshore CIPS qualification or part qualified Experience of leading a small team Demonstrable project experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Results driven with proven track record of hard and soft cost savings Exceptional organisational skills Why Microlise?
