Automation Controls Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Software and Controls Engineer to join our Central Engineering Services team, responsible for developing automation software and electrical control systems for machinery used within the production of Weetabix. In this role, you will be responsible for: Safety, Quality & Hygiene. Continuous Improvement. Developing automation software. Developing control strategies. Purchasing Equipment and engineering software. Reviewing electrical drawings as part of any project Delivering training as required. Requirements You will have previous experience of working within a food manufacturing environment, hold a recognised Electrical Engineering (HNC minimum) and 18th Edition qualification, be fully trained, and have a proven track record of working with PLC and HMI software (Rockwell and Siemens), coupled with experience of industrial networking and SCADA development. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, have meticulous attention to detail with robust fault diagnosis skills, be able to manage a varied and busy workload and able to use your own initiative. This role is based at our Burton Latimer site but will also cover Corby and requires a flexible approach to meet business needs.
