The Funeral Service Assistant (FSA) is a multi-skilled role, encompassing both client facing and operational activities. The key accountabilities of this role are: Delivering care to our client families and their loved ones. Daily tasks will vary but the majority of FSA time will be spent delivering operational services to the deceased. The completion of all 'care of the deceased' processes from preparation of the deceased to the delivery of the deceased to our funeral home visiting rooms. This will be done in line with the care of the deceased policies and procedures within the Society. First point of contact in establishing the relationship with the bereaved and the Society Support with our 'day of the funeral' operation. Support with maintaining the minimum operating standards in our care centre and funeral home locations. Ensure that the highest standards of service excellence is provided at all times as well as maintaining the care and respect for the deceased at all times. The role holder will take pride in their appearance, act with empathy, compassion and professionalism at all times. You will be required to work without supervision and you should be able to prioritise your workload.
