Digital Analyst

Vacancy: Digital Analyst Location: UK Flexible Job Family: Commercial Johnson Matthey are currently recruiting for a Digital Analyst to join our Commercial Business Development and Marketing team. Our Efficient Natural Resources sector is currently running a transformation programme to support the execution of the sector strategy using digital tools and technology; the Digital Analyst role exists to support the identification and analysis of new digital ideas and the management of small-scale digital experiments and projects through the Digital Advisory Group pipeline (from 'Idea' through to the 'Handover to Scale' phases). The successful candidate will be expected to support the Digital Transformation Manager to plan, mobilise and implement the digital programme through business analysis and project management activities to ensure that projects are delivered on time and benefits realized. This role exists to grow our internal capability to identify, plan and implement projects to deliver new digital capabilities. Key responsibilities: Lead the analysis, design and deployment of selected projects within the digital programme, supporting early assessment, prioritisation and delivery with a focus on enablement of strategic projects - e.g. low carbon and circularity solutions Conduct awareness raising and discovery work - principally through workshops and meetings with sector staff who have new ideas Deploy skills in process and journey mapping to identify requirements and design potential solutions and create business cases for those projects Through the projects, develop and contribute to our list of approved software tools that the business can use to develop new digital innovation solutions; liaise with JMIT to learn which new tools are in the pipeline as well as suggest new JM-wide capabilities Work with the business to grow capabilities to 'self-serve' around new digital tools, including but not limited to data pipelines (Azure/AWS), PowerApps, Tableau, RPA etc Track actions, remove blockers and coordinate planning activities for new initiatives and experiments Work with the pipeline lead to iterate and improve the sector methodology for new digital projects Conduct stakeholder management activity and project engagement, for example liaising with functional teams, providing status updates, facilitating discussions necessary for projects Track and report on success metrics and KPIs for experiments Produce communications events for sector staff on new digital capabilities Are you the ideal candidate? You will have: Business analysis (requirements gathering, prioritization and scoping, journey-mapping) Data and digital analytics to support business case definition Experience of agile project and pipeline management techniques Comfort taking an 'outside-in' view to understand customer requirements and help to design solutions Experience developing customer-facing solutions in a user-centred approach Knowledge of web analytics platforms and metrics is desirable Knowledge of Tableau and other visualisation tools is desirable How to apply: If you have the necessary skills and experience to join our team, please apply online.
