Vacancy: Head of Supply Chain Strategy, Development & Control - Fuel Cells & Green Hydrogen Location: UK Flexible Johnson Matthey's vision is for a world that's cleaner and healthier; today and for future generations. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the current and future supply chain is fit for purpose, that risks are minimised and JM's ethics and sustainability goals are embedded. This position is accountable for the development of future Supply Chain and the implementation of controls and engagement of the current Supply Chain portfolio. Working with key Procurement and Supply Chain stakeholders to ensure the success of Fuel Cells and Green Hydrogen and our customers. Key responsibilities: Accountable for the development and security of the future supply chain. Accountable for the governance and embedding of controls and risk mitigation in the current and future supply chain applied by the business Leads the application of supplier standards, ethics and sustainability goals Lead cross-functional engagement teams and acts as Key Account Manager in negotiation of 5-10 year horizon strategic supply contracts up to £500m total spend to secure supply of critical materials for Fuel Cells and Green Hydrogen products Strategic supply contracts to be supported by integration of processes to include technological collaboration across value-chain. Collaborate with strategic suppliers, customers, industry forums and JM Group Functions Leadership Teams Drive supply chain governance and strategy across the Global Supply Chain integrating it with major customers supply chain strategies Create E2E value-chain management capability from source to final customer and back to raw materials through second use and recycling Identify sector value chain strategic opportunities, assess options, propose way forward and coordinate implementation together with technology, operations and commercial functions Develop and maintain Supply Chain team strategic roadmap of activities Coordinate sector international trade and regulatory work using internal sector and JM Group SMEs Consolidate and prepare Supply Chain budget and control spend across Supply Chain and Procurement Coordinate supply chain due diligence on potential JVs, acquisition targets and lead post close supply chains integration efforts. Develop business cases for value-chain related capital investment required in collaboration with CAPEX and Finance teams Participate in the recruiting, hiring and ongoing development of supply chain organisation Drive continuous process improvement across supply chain and all connected functions Are you the ideal candidate? Significant experience within a global supply chain management environment Experience driving supply chain/operations strategy in a large, complex manufacturing Experience of working in highly analytical/problem solving organisations with demonstrated success in operations/supply chain strategy/project management Driving exceptional working relationships with cross-functional teams and global customers, ability to find creative solutions to issues and obstacles Proven leadership experience and ability to manage internal and external stakeholders Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit whilst maintaining attention to detail Experience with Distribution Network Analysis, Manufacturing, Production Network Optimization, Transportation, Demand Planning, or other areas related to Supply Chain Understanding of the wide supply chain and operation business areas including Planning, Logistics, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Quality and International trade Exceptional communication and relationshi[ building skills How to apply: If you have the necessary skills and experience to join our team, please apply online.
