Junior New Product Development Engineer

An excellent opportunity for a Junior New Product Development Engineer to join an expanding company based in Kings Lynn, Norfolk Reporting to: New Product Development Engineer The Company They are a leading Automation solutions provider within the Ceramic pressure casting industry. With nearly 30-year experience and a solid reputation. They are now looking to build the next phase of its development by reinforcing its technical leadership within the field of traditional ceramics and of technical ceramics. To support the company's ambition, they are looking to appoint a team member to join their New Product Development team. Based in King's Lynn, the ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working in a team as well as being self-motivated and trustworthy. Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate and liaise with customers
• Compile design reports to be shared with customers
• Produce reports and presentation using MS Office software
• Preparation of documentation and information for production department
• Updates to design packs
• Mould layouts in 2D & 3D
• 3D Design for formers and fittings
• Responsible for maintaining stock levels of parts for NPD department and placement of orders Key Skills and Competencies
• Experience in 3D CAD design, SolidWorks
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Experienced in MS Office Person Specification / Education and Qualifications:
• Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Background in mechanical engineering/workshop tool skills
