We did everything right. Did well at school, got a decent university education and then somehow fell into a job that we know just isn't right for us. Perhaps it's a dead-end gig with no progression/earning potential, or maybe it's just plain boring. The trouble is that you just don't know what you want to do On the other hand, maybe you didn't go to Uni, you've been working since college but have that same feeling of "where the hell is my career going?". You want something fun, challenging and financially rewarding, and you really don't mind grafting and putting in the work as long as you can see a payoff in your career. I know that feeling. I've been there myself. And I've hired other people who have been there as well and never thought about a career in recruitment until they heard of usand many of them never looked back. Unlike some of the stories you might have heard in recruitment, we aren't sales animals or people who would do anything for a quick buck. On paper our job is simple, we find awesome tech candidates for awesome tech companies who pay us for our troubles. However, this is really not as simple as it sounds. The most skilled tech candidates are the most in demand professionals in almost any industry right now, and they don't suffer fools easily. our job is to build relationships with these individuals and form connections that last for years, so that every time they are looking for a new opportunity they come to us, and we in turn find the right companies for them to do what they do best. On the flip side we have to find the best tech companies and convince them to trust us to build their teams, in a market where there are so many others who, on paper at least, offer a similar service. It's a hard job. we won't lie. Candidates and employers are human, and humans can be infuriating - they'll often let you down, blame you when things go wrong, change their minds, and demand the ridiculous from you. However, they also rely on you to support their careers and their businesses when they need you, and that's a responsibility we take seriously here at Rebel We're well known in the local tech market, and we're respected for how we work. But our ambitions are to keep pushing forwards. We are busier than we have even been, but we need amazing people to join us if we are to take that next step in our journey. Right now, we are looking for people (graduates or non-graduates) who have at least 1-2 years of experience of working in a professional environment - we can't consider anyone without real-world work experience (you know, waking up and getting to work for 9am and working a 37.5 hour week, week in week out). Sales experience would be very valuable (not because you'll be hammering the phones here, but because we know sales is tough and requires resilience), as would any kind of B2B customer relationship experience. Anyone from a tech background would also be considered. If you haven't been to university that's not a problem, you'll just need to show equivalent experience and achievements.
