Business Change Manager Royston, Hertfordshire Circa. £65-75K base salary bonus pension benefits Circa. £100K package JOB PURPOSE This role is accountable for the provision of effective change support for Unify deployments. Unify is our ERP-based transformation programme. The role holder is responsible for the creation, enhancement & deployment of the business change components of the Unify Deployment Methodology and for working with Programme & Business resources to ensure effective, on-time delivery in line with the agreed approach for Unify deployments in all sectors & geographies. Also for identifying & incorporating changes to the Unify Deployment Methodology based on lessons learned. The role holder coordinates delivery of Unify programme learning and communication activities into a single cohesive business change approach for each deployment and provides coaching and support to change resources within the business-owned deployment teams. They operate as part of the Unify Programme Team, working closely with colleagues within the both the Central Programme and Business Deployment Teams. There is a requirement to operate effectively at senior levels to influence and ensure prioritisation of business change activities as a key success factor for effective implementation and adoption of the Unify solution. Key activities include: Unify Business Change Leadership, Strategy & Planning Represent business change in Unify leadership forums, ensuring understanding and support for business change (including communications & learning) as a key component of effective Unify readiness and adoption Coordinate the work of the central Unify business change team, ensuring that change, communications and learning are delivered in an integrated way to support each deployment Lead, establish & maintain the change components of the Unify deployment methodology, in alignment with the overall JM Change Framework & methodology and business requirements Develop & generate support for the Unify change approach that is fit for purpose and in alignment with overall JM/Transformation strategy Develop & manage the change component of the template plan and work with the Unify PMO and Deployment Change Leads to ensure this is incorporated into the integrated plan for each Unify deployment Conduct knowledge transfer to the business-owned change leads on the Unify change approach, plan and key activities Support the Business-owned Change Leads to develop & deliver the business change plan and activities for each Unify deployment Create & maintain the reusable & scalable change components of the Unify deployment methodology, for use on each deployment, including Change Impact Assessment and Business Readiness Tracking templates, processes & reporting Recommend & create the business case (as required) for the procurement & use of appropriate tools to support the development & delivery of Unify change Business Change Development Own the process for change impact & business readiness activity planning, ensuring materials are appropriate in content, quantity & quality to support the repeatable deployment of the Unify template Ensure changes to the Unify solution, processes & enhancements are reflected back into the business change materials & approach Work with Functional Leads, Process Team and Deployment Teams to ensure that information on business change is available, current & ready for use Business Change Delivery Guide & support Deployment Teams in the planning & use of business change tools, techniques and materials in support of each Unify deployment Develop & deliver business change activities and deliverables in line with the Unify Deployment Methodology and provide support & guidance to Deployment Change Leads to support consistent Unify delivery Conduct education sessions for business resources including Business Process Owners, SMEs and Change Leads to increase business knowledge and capability in effective business change Work with the JMIT team (ERP CoE) to ensure change, learning and communications activities are incorporated and delivered within the continuous improvement process Business Change Measurement & Reporting Create a framework & tools to measure and report on the effectiveness of business change Work with the Deployment Project Manager, Deployment Project Team and the business to report on the scheduling & delivery of business change events (including communications and learning) Management of Activities & Resources for Business Change Define scope, accountability & manage all Core Change resources, including any third-party resources Establish & maintain relationships with key change related stakeholders in the businesses and JM Group Functions. This will include HR, Business Change, Communications & Learning Leads. Provide support & guidance to Business/Deployment Change Leads on communications & messaging, with particular reference to business change and ensure key messages align with the overall Unify template & messaging Anticipate & proactively manage risks & issues associated with business change, create mitigating actions, escalating and raising formal risks & issues as appropriate Are you the ideal candidate? You will have: Knowledge of change methodologies and ERP (ideally SAP) implementation best practice Previous experience of planning and managing business, people and operational change in at least one major IT-enabled transformation programme Experience of project management disciplines and working within complex projects and programmes Experience of managing multiple stakeholders across all levels of the organisation, ideally in the context of implementing major operational change Experience of working effectively in a matrix model involving multiple contributors How to apply: If you have the necessary skills and experience to join our team, please apply online.
