CNC Programmer

Are you a skilled CNC Programmer of Haas and Fanuc machining centres who enjoys producing precision components from a variety of materials providing support to manufacturing and R&D? You will be focussed on process improvements, promoting team collaboration and knowledge to make a positive contribution, adding value to the machining strategies, multi-department initiatives and new component / product releases. Key responsibilities as the CNC Programmer :
• Program, set, prove then run the manual, Fanuc / Haas CNC machines and use wire erosion to produce precision components from a variety of materials including Aluminium, Stainless Steels and Exotic metals
• Once the product is handed over to manufacturing, ensure the correct techniques and procedures are followed for the products and components developed
• Maximise efficiency of the CNC machines including weekly PPM
• Ensure product quality meets requirements by taking accurate measurements using metrology tools to validate finishes and standards
• Collaborate with the team on process improvement ideas and activities across their CNC machines CNC Programmer skills and qualities :
• You will have some great experience in machining / toolmaking using both manual and CNC machines tools and Fanuc / Haas control systems
• Competency in multi-axis machines, creation of efficient set ups, jigs, milling and turning
• Experience of programming and effectively setting optimum cycle times utilising engineering drawings and machining techniques
• High attention to detail, working often to micron level and proud of the quality products you create and develop
• Working knowledge of CAD / CAM software (ideally Solidworks and Master CAM)
• You can also develop other skills such as SMED and lean practices, Parametric programming with the use of Macro B variables, wire erosion, trouble shooting and root cause analysis, in-depth metrology techniques and much more Culture and the company: This is an highly successful, expanding and dynamic international business with a very forward-thinking management culture where personal development is actively progressed.
