There is now a fantastic opportunity for an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the automation of some Production processes with the installation and maintenance of new machines into our site in Derby. The site will be a 24/7 site and there will be two dedicated engineers on each shift, reporting into the Business Operations Manager. Therefore, we have vacancies for Engineers to work 4 on 4 off 0700 - 1900 and further vacancies for Engineers to work 4 on 4 off 1900 - 0700. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance for both electrical and mechanical elements of the machines onsite. There would also be a requirement for you to support any maintenance of the site which may be required. You will need to be multi-skilled so recognized training and experience across both electrical and mechanical engineering would be required. You will work closely with the Production Manager and Production Shift Leads to develop maintenance plans across the site to ensure performance of production remains reliable at all times. Main Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Assess and complete all reactive, preventative, and proactive maintenance during the shift, as necessary. Work with the Production Team to understand issues and reduce impact on Production. Suggest ways to keep the focus on Continuous Improvement throughout the shift. Ensure the working environment is safe for all. General onsite maintenance as and when required. Requirements: Able to work the 4 on 4 off shift (0700 - 1900 or 1900 - 0700), which includes weekend and Bank Holidays / experience of working regular shifts previously. GCSE English & Maths Qualification - essential Recognised apprenticeship in Engineering - essential Further engineering qualification (HNC or Degree) - desirable Experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment - desirable You will need to be able to prioritise and manage expectations, while dealing with conflicting priorities in a calm manner in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to work alone and self-manage your daily tasks to ensure there is no negative impact on Production.
