Pricing Analyst

Unique opportunity to use your analytical skills to review product costs and sales as a Pricing Analyst. Your new company This organisation has grown due to business expansion and acquisitions to be become one of the UK's leading suppliers of product and services in their sector. To enhance their next phase they are looking for a Pricing Analyst to play a key role in reviewing their current product range. Your new role In this Pricing Analyst job you will be responsible for reviewing the pricing across their product & service range to ensure they are competitively priced in the market. This will involve undertaking market analysis and reporting on competitors' proposition, sales and promotional activities as well as measuring and assessing the market-place regarding pricing changes. Using your analytical and research skills you will formulate and measure pricing activities in order to determine the optimum selling price for products to maximise revenue across the group. This will involve creating strategies for product ranges according to the market and competitor landscape to make sure the business can amend any price changes on sales and margin to reflect the market demands etc. You will also provide essential reports to the Sales & Marketing team, allowing them to use your data to drive their decision-making on product selection, measurements of success and future business development What you'll need to succeed You will have a strong commercial awareness of working in a competitive business sector and ideally have experience of analysing price structures and price strategies across a varied product range including services. You may have this experience from being an analyst or a marketeer in a "Head Office" type role who sell products and/or services via a network retails chains for example. You will also have an understanding of consumer behaviour, particularly in an e-commerce business and be able to present your analysis of trends etc. to senior management in a clear precise format. We will expect you to be confident in the use of Excel and able to manage large data-sets.
