The focus is to build up their presence in digital marketing and product development to support various platforms and ecommerce expansion. The main responsibilities of this role will be to lead and own architecture, working closely with the solutions architects, as well as leading and driving discussions. You will be directing the Software Engineers in terms of best practice, coding standards, automated and manual testing, and database design. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining services and applications, including user interfaces used in both back-office and retail spaces. Primarily these applications are used to process customer order data through the system infrastructure and communicate other internal and external systems. The successful candidate should have commercial experience combined with a relevant qualification in computer science and/or AWS certified or experience. Strong interpersonal leadership and communication skills are paramount along with being passionate and driven. A candidate should demonstrate experience of design and implementing system architecture. Experience will be needed of the following languages, databases and technologies; PHP, JavaScript , jQuery, Go Lang , Node.js / TypeScript ,Python , Cross browser CSS ,XML , JSON ,MySQL ,MSSQL , Git / Github / Sourcetree / Bitbucket and Responsive HTML. Further competencies are required of the following: Object Orientated programming concepts, design patterns, frameworks, security conscious coding, cloud computing fundamental, DevOps management of (Linux) servers, Amazon/eBay marketplaces integration. With ideally experience of Agile working concepts and practices, in particular SCRUM and of deployment of mission-critical software.
