An oversubscribed and outstanding school with an exceptional reputation, set on a leafy parkland campus, is looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work in the College’s Health Centre. Pastoral care at Hockerill Anglo-European College focuses on the health, welfare, safety and happiness of each individual student. The Health Centre plays a crucial role in managing the health issues, be they acute or chronic, physical or mental, of all College students.
The Health Centre also plays an important role in supporting College staff in delivering outstanding holistic pastoral care. The successful candidate must be available to work some evenings (finish time 19:30hrs) and weekends (mostly on-call from home).
Hockerill Anglo-European College has been consistently ranked in the top tier of UK post-16 state comprehensive league tables and achieves high rankings for its GCSE results. Based on its GCSE and IB Diploma results, it was ranked in the top three Comprehensive schools in the country in the Sunday Times 2021 Schools Guide and it is also the most oversubscribed school in Hertfordshire.
The College is situated in Bishop’s Stortford within the beautiful landscaped grounds of a former teacher training college and is within 30 minutes of both London and Cambridge, with Stansted Airport just 10 minutes away.
