HRIS Technology Lead Royston, Hertfordshire - Flexible Working Circa. £56,000 - £70,000 base salary bonus pension benefits Circa. £80,000 - £99,000 package Permanent Job Family: IT Johnson Matthey is actively seeking a HRIS Technology Lead to work from our Royston, Hertfordshire office on a permanent basis. Johnson Matthey IT (JMIT) is Johnson Matthey's global IT function responsible for ensuring that our IT capabilities are not only able to support and integrate technologies but can also offer insight into future IT tools that could provide us with a competitive edge and improved operating efficiencies. Role: The HRIS Technology Lead (HR) is accountable for using their expertise to provide best practice guidance for the complete HR technology landscape which has WorkDay at its heart. To include the conversion of business requirements into solutions, ensuring adherence to governance, development of design documentation and templates. This includes supporting delivery into deployments and continuous improvement initiatives. The Solution Lead is responsible for collaborating closely with the wider team to lead the functional area through to maturity and drive continuous improvement and ensure the on-going integrity of the design delivered by the project teams. Key responsibilities: Design and Application Accountable for the design and delivery of functional/industry design/build/realisation, ensuring the design and integration is consistent across multiple areas and supports business objectives Recognise and mitigate wider integration impacts of the solution in other workstreams and functional areas, collaborate with other workstreams to manage effectively Provide input and drive the delivery of the project plan using appropriate methodology to meet key milestones and deliverables. Lead a team of specialists, analysts and vendors to ensure provision of in depth technical / business process advice across the HR landscape Governance Work with the business process lead and initiate solution discussions regarding new business requirements. Collectively support and sponsor business process improvement Change requests with the business process lead. Drive to protect the integrity of applications during deployment across the organization. Act as the secondary level for escalations for risks and issues and drive forward proposed solutions to mitigate risk in line with the governance framework, ensuring adherence to change management processes and take ownership for solution change requests. Business Change Management Engage and collaborate with senior business representatives to organise and deliver clear, specific requirements aligned to the programme objectives Work with the Business Process Lead to manage business readiness Understand in detail the benefits case and change impacts of the project and communicate effectively to stakeholders where appropriate. Lead business process overviews and solution confirmation workshops from a technical standpoint Cutover/Deployment Take responsibility for the technical input to the cutover/deployment plan from both a business and solutions perspective, providing support and guidance to team members, end users and stakeholders Ensure a strong relationship with the business through stakeholders and super users is maintained and nurtured Provide thought leadership within the team demonstrating an in-depth functional knowledge of Applications as a whole Are you the ideal candidate? You will have: Significant experience working in a lead/team management technical role supporting HR systems and implementations. Be a highly experienced HRIS professional with significant experience working on multiple full lifecycle and complex global HR projects Proven ability to convey complex technical terms to non-technical users In-depth knowledge and understanding of the technical design concepts of Workday and associated integration, and principles within a global organisation Previous experience working in a technical role within a similar industry (manufacturing/chemicals) Experience in medium to large, preferably international and multi-site environments How to apply: If you have the necessary skills and experience to join our team, please apply online.
