Business Systems Manager - HR Royston, Hertfordshire - Flexible working Permanent Circa. £65,000 - £81,500 Base Salary Bonus Pension and Benefits Competitive Package of between £95,000 - £117,000 Job Family: IT Johnson Matthey is actively seeking a Business Systems Manager - HR to be based in our Royston, Hertfordshire office on a permanent basis. Johnson Matthey IT (JMIT) is Johnson Matthey's global IT function responsible for ensuring that our IT capabilities are not only able to support and integrate technologies but can also offer insight into future IT tools that could provide us with a competitive edge and improved operating efficiencies. We are currently in the process of a global IT transformation with several large programmes running and about to start. The Business Systems Manager - HR is accountable for the successful management of all HR technologies, across all geographies and sectors, from strategy development through to support of those to high service levels. The role holder will lead global system requirements gathering, system selection processes and define the strategic roadmap for technologies and support model. The role holder will be accountable for any implementation and delivery of programmes and projects that are defined as part of this process. This will cover the full programme lifecycle from concept/funding through delivery and business as usual handover. They will manage a team of consultants, vendors and/or JM employees. Key responsibilities: Working in partnership with global Functional leadership to develop system roadmaps (including system rationalisation and continuous improvement activities) which drives forward the central IT agenda. In conjunction with Enterprise Architecture, support the development of the IT strategy for the capability landscape Developing this roadmap into an executable plan and gain Executive approval. Accountable for the delivery of the agreed business outcomes, roadmap, resourcing to support it and associated budget. Working with the business to develop the business case to gain approval for each project. Follow the JMIT Project Management office governance process. Engaging 3rd party vendors as appropriate to support the project and programme delivery and working alongside the procurement team to manage the relationship with the 3rd parties. Managing the programme/project delivery teams developing appropriate resource and skills for the programme of work. Accountable for the delivery of projects to the agreed scope, quality, schedule and cost. Managing the transition of the project into the support organisation. Ensuring project reflection and audits are completed to feedback into the roadmap and IT processes for the next project. Developing relationships in the business and IT to gain support and alignment for the project work. Design and Application: Lead a team of subject matter experts and suppliers to ensure provision of in depth technical / business process advice for their relevant workstream; Recognise and mitigate wider impacts of any solution in other workstreams and functional areas, collaborate with other workstreams to manage effectively. Ensure capability and capacity within the project delivery team to drive the delivery of the project plan to meet key milestones and deliverables. Governance: Work with the business process lead, and initiate solution discussions regarding new business requirements Sponsor business process improvement Change requests with the business process lead Ensure the integrity of applications during deployment across the organization. Business Change Management: Engage and collaborate with senior business representatives to organise and deliver clear, specific requirements aligned to the programme objectives Participate in the collation and approval of the benefits case and change impacts of the project and communicate effectively to stakeholders where appropriate. Lead business process overviews and solution confirmation workshops from a technical standpoint. Cutover/Deployment: Take accountability for the technical input to the cutover/deployment plan from both a business and solutions perspective, providing support and guidance to team members, end users and stakeholders. Ensure a strong relationship with the business through stakeholders and super users is maintained and nurtured Are you the ideal candidate?
