Quantity Surveyor Residential-Norwich

Hunter Mason is working with a high end residential house builder in the Norwich area looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor. The job role would be based in the office in the Norwich area. Duties and responsibilities will include: Review bills of quantities prepared by 3rd cost consultants Prepare tender and contract documents for take offs Perform risk, value management and cost control Regular review of supply chain lead times Procure ahead of lead times to ensure programmes are ahead of schedule Review subcontractor tenders with rate checks for materials, labour and plant Issue orders to subcontractors using the company order templates Review and value subcontractor valuation applications Submit subcontractor valuation applications for approval to quality audit department Maintain subcontractor payment application, payment notice and payless notice trackers Agreement and certification of sub-contractor final accounts Maintain and develop sub-contractor preferred database Coordinate with Procurement Administrator for material procurement Coordinate with Apprentice Quantity Surveyor to undertaking check measures for subcontractor valuation applications Coordinate with Contracts Manager for value engineering and programme guidance The ideal candidate must have the following requirements: Key skills Organisational skills Problem solving Analytical skills Numeracy skills Commercial awareness Highly motivated and ability to motivate others Able to communicate and work as part of a team Driving License Qualifications/Experience The chosen one should possess: 2 years minimum experience as a Quantity or Project Surveyor Experience in Property and Construction Knowledge of RIBA Stages 4-6 Job Type : full time, Monday- Friday Salary - £40,000-£60,000 Benefits include the following: 30 days holiday per annum including bank holidays Company pension scheme Death in service insurance scheme Flexi day for those needing to attend key children events (such as first day at school) Ongoing Continued Professional Development (CPD)
