Electrical Engineer - Weekends

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with 17th or 18th Edition and working knowledge of electrical systems to conduct maintenance, fault-finding, and diagnostics on existing systems including fixed wiring and machine control. Installs new electrical systems, including lighting, ring final circuits and machine control panel fault finding, to maintain those systems while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations. Start: ASAP Location: Ely (Outskirts) Cambridgeshire Hours: Friday - Monday (Friday 8 - 3pm, Saturday, Sunday, Monday - 8am - 4pm) 32 hours per week Salary: £circa £42,000 overtime for any hours over 32 hours Benefits: 24 days holiday (Pro Rata as Part time) annual pay review, pension scheme, Christmas closure Duties:
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems in industrial electrical systems
• Fault-finding, rewiring, and monitoring
• Reading and understand electrical schematic drawings for fault finding
• Use electrical test equipment to find faults in a multitude of circuits
• Assess the parts needed for a job and place orders for those parts
• Conduct routine maintenance on a range of production machinery
• Ensuring installations are to standards
• Rewire faulty electrical systems, such as lighting & motors
• Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electro-mechanical
• Install electrical systems to 17th/18th edition wiring regulations
• Installing motors and feedback sensors
• Planned and Re-active Mechanical and Electrical maintenance of line, plant and equipment
• Perform root cause analysis of faults or line performance issues
• Put in place corrective actions to stop repeat failures Skills and Qualifications
• 17 th /18 th edition
• Electrical Apprenticeship trained
• Possess working knowledge of IEE regulations,
• Demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
• Be able to read and understand electrical schematic drawings for fault finding
• Automation, VFD and PLC knowledge would be desirable
• Software and programming skills would be desirable.
• Risk Assessment experience
• Diagnostics and Fault-Finding experience
