Packaging Store Operative

A new opportunity has arisen for a Packaging Store Operative to join our Despatch Team based at our Beetroot Depot based in March, Cambridgeshire. Role Requirements & Responsibilities Work with the Stock Compliance Controller, Technologist and Despatch personnel to deliver the responsibilities of the Department. Enforce and ensure that the intake procedure for packaging and ingredients as laid down by the Technical Department is strictly followed and adhered to. Enforce and ensure that the incoming packaging and ingredients acceptance and booking-in procedures is always adhered to. Ensuring daily packaging and ingredients receipts and issues are captured into the system in a timely manner using handheld inventory scanning equipment, palletised items to be racked into the warehouse locations upon receipt using MHE. Liaising with Production Teams, Packaging Planners, Suppliers and Transportation Teams when necessary to achieve Service Level expectations and advising when insufficient stock for Service Level expectations might occur. Prepare packaging and ingredients required from bill of materials or similar pick instruction in a timely manner prior to the state of production shift to ensure no downtime occurs. Relocate part used packaging and ingredients back into correct locations within the stores and update stock system accordingly. Define procedure and enforce perpetual inventory control by carrying out regular reconciliations and cycle counts where applicable. Ensure all receipts and outbound shipments of packaging and ingredients are carried according to laid down procedure and that accurate and correct receipt/shipping documentation and copies of documentation is available in the event of a supplier-customer dispute of quantities received and despatched. Ensuring that all Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are followed at all times. Promote and participate in behaviour safety observations. Support the Management and Senior Leaders in any relevant projects. Candidate Requirements RTITB Counterbalance up to 5t RTITB Reach Truck Experience of working within a warehouse environment Familiarity with JDE and scanning systems H&S awareness Behavioural Safety awareness Good communication skills Team player Have attention to detail Self-Starter Ability to work on own initiative Hours of work: Average 38.5 hours
