We are looking to appoint an Asset Management Surveyor who will work within the Property Directorate to ensure that our 5000+ properties are maintained to the required standards.  The main responsibilities of the role are to carry out property surveys (internal and external) whilst identifying and scheduling of refurbishment or improvement works where required.  The role will also ensure contracted works are completed to a high standard and demonstrate value for money.


Additionally, the role will require the continuous review of energy performance data throughout our housing stock, managing component data to ensure accurate records are maintained and be a first point of contact to resolve any data inaccuracies.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for a range of specialist projects which will require the management of contractors.


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be confident dealing with tenants. Excellent IT skills are important to support with the efficient collation of information and coordinating work or projects. Having worked in a similar role, the candidate must have a good understanding of property defects being able to diagnose and arrange appropriate works clearly and accurately. The willingness to work towards a RICS qualification, with company support, is also important in this role.
