Accounts Assistant (Full-time)

Job Description

Newbury News Ltd are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our fun and dedicated team (Full-time) at our office at Newspaper House, Faraday Road, Newbury, Berkshire RG14 2AD.  If you're reliable, conscientious, flexible and thrive working in a team environment, then this could be the role for you. Working as part of the Accounts department, the job entails;

  • Opening post, daily entry, banking and posting of cheque payments to customer sales ledger accounts
  • Reconciliation of Stripe credit card reports, and process manual transactions & record on PCS
  • Process credit card payments, recording in Exchequer and on credit card spreadsheet
  • Checking daily of the Intercept queue to confirm advertising requests
  • Zero Reconciliation on Prepay accounts in PCS advertising system
  • Producing manual sales invoices
  • Process staff expenses claims onto Exchequer accounting
  • Answering telephones and dealing with all queries, and processing to completion
  • Assisting in all other areas of the department

YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays per year
  • Working Monday to Friday
