Lead Safeguarding Professional (DDSL)

Grade E (£26,544-£29,585 FTE, Award Pending) - Required for January 2022

We are seeking a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to undertake the key role of providing a
day-to-day lead for safeguarding matters, reporting into the DSL.

The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) will assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead
(DSL) in all matters of safeguarding and child protection across the school. They may take part
in strategy discussions and inter-agency meetings and contribute to the assessment of children.

You will ideally need to possess a DSL Level 3 and Level 2 (or equivalents) qualification in
safeguarding adults and children. A key part of this role is acting as the point of contact with
all parents, guardians, regulatory authorities, so experience in safeguarding children and young
people is key.

This is a full-time term time only position; working hours will be between 8.00am –4.00pm,

Monday– Thursday, Friday, 0800 – 3.30pm, 39 weeks of the year.
