In fact, as we all seek trusted news sources like never before, our online audience has grown beyond our most ambitious expectations - we now have thousands of readers subscribing to our local news website.
The news publishing industry is fast paced and constantly evolving. This important position is an exciting opportunity; you’ll be a key player in a team whose goal is to work with local businesses to deliver impactful and effective marketing campaigns.
Taking responsibility for a portfolio of clients and projects you’ll work to make sure every one of your advertising campaigns is well thought through, reaches the right audience and ultimately makes a positive difference to the advertiser’s business.
Some of the key qualities we are looking for:
- Enthusiastic about business - especially local businesses, as they make up the majority of our client base.
- A great communicator - the ability to understand our clients’ needs is crucial to building and securing a successful marketing campaign.
- Creative streak - once you understand the clients’ needs you’ll use our whole portfolio to create campaigns that reach the right people.
- Can handle the pace - news publishing never stops. As well as deadlines for our print products we aim to get clients digital campaigns live as soon as we can.
- A team player - we’re a small but very effective team and pull together to get the job done.
You probably won’t have experience of working in the advertising or marketing sector, but don’t let that put you off. It’s not so much about what you have done in the past, more what you can do in the future and how you can positively influence our business.
For the right person there’s a competitive salary, incentive scheme, and holiday allowance. We’ll also support you with all the training you need to be successful.
Full-time hours are 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. A hybrid work set-up will apply with some time based at home and some in the office. Although you will spend a lot of time meeting with your clients.
We would consider a part-time set-up for the right candidate.
You should be based within a reasonable travel time of New Milton.
