Job Description

A family located in the Lymington area is looking for a Nanny to join them on a flexible or full-time basis. You will join forces with an additional Nanny to share in the responsibility of caring for three children aged 5, 4, and 2 months old. You will offer love and support, whilst also handling various tasks to keep the family’s life running smoothly. The role is not your average; they are a busy, entrepreneurial, adventurous family that works hard and likes to make the most of life. The role will be based in the UK but will consist of travelling, as the family has business interests in Europe, Utah, LA, Sydney, and the Caribbean. Key Responsibilities:


  • Create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters creativity and growth for the children.
  • Always supervise and ensure the safety of the children.
  • Plan, feed, and provide age-appropriate meals and snacks.
  • Assist with toilet training for younger children when needed.
  • Assist with morning and bedtime routines, including dressing, bathing, and grooming.
  • Help the little ones look their best with a fun wardrobe and grooming routine.
  • Administer medication or first aid as needed, in accordance with the parents' guidance 

Education and Development Support:

  • Plan and engage in age-appropriate educational activities.
  • Assist with homework and school projects.
  • Manage education whilst travelling, adhering to the school curriculum.
  • Encourage social and emotional development through play and interaction.
  • Foster and support the children’s interests and hobbies.

Transportation and Logistics:

  • Safely transport children to and from school, activities, and appointments.
  • Get creative and prepare for special occasions such as birthday parties and events.
  • Help to coordinate playdates and social engagements for the children.
  • Keep their schedules and routines in check, ensuring they’re on track and organised.
  • Communicate with the parents about schedules, updates, and any issues that arise.
  • Pack (and unpack) their bags for exciting adventures abroad & at home.
  • Be ready to tackle emergencies and urgent situations, ensuring the children are safe and secure.

Light Housekeeping and Organisation:

  • Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children, including washing dishes and tidying up their rooms and toys left around the house and garden.
  • Do some of the children’s laundry if required and keep their belongings organised.
  • Clean up after meals and playtime.

Assist with general household organisation, as needed.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Establish and maintain open communication with the parents about the children’s progress, needs, and any concerns.
  • Collaborate with parents on disciplinary and behavioural issues, following the parents' preferred methods.

Update parents on daily activities and milestones, either verbally or through a communication log.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

  • Adapt to the family’s or individual’s schedule and needs, which may include working evenings, weekends, or occasional overnight stays.

Travel with the family for vacations or work trips, if required.

Professionalism and Discretion:

  • Respect the family’s or individual’s privacy and maintain confidentiality about their personal lives.

Continually improve childcare skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.

  • Experience in childcare across various age groups, including babies.
  • Solid understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
  • Experience in managing children’s schedules and routines.
  • Familiarity with household management tasks, including meal preparation and light housekeeping.
  • Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well with the family and other staff members.
  • Child CPR and first aid training (family happy to finance these courses if required).


  • Flexibility of working hours between term time and non-term time.
  • Ability to work some weekends.
  • Ability to travel abroad with the family.
  • Ability to stay overnight as the children’s main caregiver when previously arranged.
  • Ability to babysit over the weekend when previously arranged.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation and able to use sat-nav, email, and Google.

Able to follow recipes where required.

Role Fundamentals:
Title: Nanny
Location: Sway, UK + Travel
Hours: Flexible TBD
Salary: £30,000 DOE (based on full-time hours)
Holiday: 26 days annually + bank holidays
Pension: Workplace pension
