Non-HGV Driver - General Street Cleansing Operative (P00151)

Base: any Operational Depot within the New Forest
Hours: 37 per week (weekend working required)
Salary:  £18,353 - £19,476 per annum (pay award pending)
Basis: Permanent

We are a proactive team working to make the new forest a better place and we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Street & Cleansing Section.
If you want to join our team taking pride in delivering high quality services for the residents, businesses, and tourists then this is a great opportunity working across the forest and coastal areas within the New Forest.

You will need to hold a minimum driving licence up to 3.5 tonnes, any additional driving qualifications up to 7.5 tonnes & CPC would be beneficial. You will need to have a hands-on approach and an eye for detail working as part of a friendly team

Key duties will include carrying out a variety of street cleansing duties.  To carry out planned and additional works, collection of fly-tipped waste, servicing of bins and other duties as required including carrying out building cleaning or clearance operations.

The post would suit people who want to work primarily outside. A high degree of physical effort is required as lifting of bins and other heavy objects are part of this role. The hours of work will be 37 per week. Weekend work will be required but days off will be
given during the week. As part of our duty of care to all our employees, please be advised that this post is subject to pre-employment health screening.

It is a requirement of this post to complete a Basic DBS check.
