SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
required as soon as possible

Salary range £12,417 to £19,872 per annum

(depending on actual hours)

25 - 37 hours per week 40 weeks per year

Bourne Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to support the work of the Science Department and to facilitate the smooth and effective delivery of the science curriculum. We see this appointment as a wonderful opportunity to join a committed team of colleagues. You will be part of a small team who support members of our Science teaching staff – the Science department has state-of-the-art facilities.

Applications are invited from people who have:

  • A good standard of education in Mathematics, English and Science;
  • An understanding of Health & Safety procedures especially how they relate to a laboratory;
  • Knowledge of COSHH and safe handling of chemicals and stores;
  • The ability to relate well to students and staff, effectively communicating technical and non- technical information.

 

Experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be given.
