Spa Boutique Manager (part-time) – SenSpa

Type – Permanent part-time (2 or 3 days per week including some weekends)

Reports to – Therapy & Training Manager

Location –  SenSpa is an award-winning Thai-inspired spa located at Careys Manor Hotel in the beautiful village of Brockenhurst.  It is here that spa therapy and nature therapy combine to offer a unique New Forest spa experience that focuses on the health of the mind, body and spirit.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced customer service professional to use their existing knowledge of the skincare and beauty industry to enable this small retail outlet to reach its full potential.  We have a small, skilled team in the spa whose one aim is to make sure each of our guests has a lovely time with us.  It will be your job to ensure that our guests are given the best possible service in terms of skincare and beauty advice, using your experience and product knowledge to personalise your response to reflect individual needs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Act as an ambassador for SenSpa, effectively managing the day-to-day operation of the boutique.
  • Responsible for the overall success – driving sales, reinforcing operations, overall service and brand integrity.
  • Work within the Company guidelines to achieve the boutique financial targets.
  • PR model for strong product knowledge of the entire product lines used at SenSpa, including “True Stories” as well as selling and customer service standards.
  • Continually monitor boutique processes and procedures to ensure best practice standards are in place.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service is given and measured against set objectives.
  • Maintain daily financial reports and communicate.
  • Manage recruitment and induction of any part time staff.
  • Full stock and stock take accountability, maintaining optimal stock levels in core and campaign best-selling lines.
  • Full administrative responsibility for boutique reporting.
  • Management of boutique housekeeping and Visual Merchandising in line with Company guidelines.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have retail/customer service experience, ideally within a shop environment
  • Possess excellent communication skills and have a genuine desire to help people
  • Have a passion for Health, Beauty and Wellbeing with good knowledge of skincare
  • Have strong numeracy skills
  • Be empathetic, friendly and engaging with the ability to listen and tailor advise accordingly
  • Be self-motivated and self-reliant
  • Be able to demonstrate a good level of English
