Charity seeking committed and compassionate Teaching and Care Assistants

The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy (FRT) enables people with special needs to have better control over their life and relate more successfully to others through Equine Facilitated Education and Therapy. We provide a safe, comfortable, and person-centred environment for those in our care, promoting independence, community integration and an active and healthy lifestyle.

We are currently recruiting for permanent assistants to work at our settings in the New Forest, paid between £11.44 and £11.64 per hour. In addition, the college provides a £750 referral bonus, a retail benefits platform, a health care plan, an income protection scheme, annual leave entitlement of 6 weeks, pension membership, free meals with drinks and free parking.

There are a variety of weekday and weekend shifts available covering the hours of 7am to 10pm over a 52-week period.

Part of your role is to carry out residential and yard duties, to work with horses and their care to enable students to acquire skills and knowledge to achieve their own learning goals. You will support our students with independent living skills in the residential environment (this may involve some aspects of personal care, cookery, community activities and housework). A professional attitude to your work and the ability to adhere to all company policies, procedures and organisational guidelines is essential.

To carry out this role you must have experience of working with horses.
